The Unseen Health Service is what we call the UK’s seven million unpaid & unseen carers. Together they make the largest workforce in Europe, over four times the size of the NHS.
These carers include adults and children who look after a family member, partner or friend in need of help because of their illness, frailty, disability, addiction or mental health problem.
The care they provide is currently unpaid, unseen, and unsupported. We founded the UHS to change that.
It was an idea that was first presented to a client at Other. Although it wasn’t taken forward, we still loved its potential, so created it as a self-initiated project for the agency.
